$50,616 - $58,608; starting salary commensurate with experience
The Office of Statewide Pretrial Services’ (OSPS or Office) is a statewide office that provides pretrial services under the Pretrial Services Act, 725 ILCS 185. The Office’s mission is to assist in the administration of justice and promote community safety by ensuring fairness and equality in the pretrial process. OSPS prepares pretrial investigation reports for the courts and supervises individuals released from custody as directed by the court.

FUNCTIONS INCLUDE
- Provides administrative support by performing basic office functions such as greeting visitors and distributing mail.
- Prepares programmatic materials as requested.
- Provides administrative office support, including answering phones, checking group email inboxes, maintaining calendars and ordering supplies
- Schedules meetings, takes and distributes meeting minutes.
- Prepares communications such as letters, emails, memos, reports and other correspondence.
- Independently performs small research or investigatory projects and generates reports and presentations.
- Makes travel arrangements and prepares travel vouchers as requested.
- Processes invoices and purchase requisitions as requested.
- Assists with office equipment and property tracking as requested.
- Assists with vehicle reservations and usage reporting as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Business or related field, or three years of relevant professional experience.
- Two years of related experience in a public or private organization.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
- Five years of related experience in a public or private organization.
- Two years of project management experience, including system analysis, strategic planning and design.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Effective oral and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and maintain a variety of functions and projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines and schedules.
- Ability to positively and professionally interact with co-workers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including planning and priority setting, sound decision-making, problem-solving, and analytic and interpretive skills.
