OSPS will never ask for payment for GPS or supervision services. Our services are free of charge to defendants. We have become aware of scammers asking defendants’ families for hundreds or thousands of dollars for the defendant’s release or special programs. These are scams. If you receive such contact please report it to law enforcement immediately and cease contact with the individual and never provide private information or pay any money.

To help promote community safety and pretrial fairness, the Pretrial Services Act (725 ILCS 185) provides that OSPS may establish a system of training and orientation for pretrial personnel statewide.

Request an OSPS Hosted Training

Training hours provided outside of CPTE or an approved provider shall be submitted to the OSPS Training Division by the Chief Managing Officer of the pretrial agency for approval by using this link Request to Approve Training Credits. The request must include supporting documentation that illustrates details of the course.
